Le Mas du Vieux Charron is a stone house whose thick stone walls keep it cool in summer and cozy in winter. Built over 300 years ago, it still has the authentic look and feel of the Provencal mas. The house is furnished with antiques from the area, and also has modern conveniences such as dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer, and an elegant and practical Godin stove. The surrounding property is about half an acre (.18 hectare), with a built-in stone table, a well, almond and fig trees, a wisteria-covered arbor, and a garden with rosemary, lavender, rose bushes, and other herbs and flowers. Beyond the garden is an orchard with fifteen apricot, cherry, and pear trees. The orchard is surrounded on two sides by cypress trees and on the third by oleander and laurel. There is a 15 x 30 ft. (5 x 10 m.) swimming pool at the far end of the property, separated from the orchard by a stone wall.
Le Paradou is a quiet and beautiful village of old stone houses surrounded by farms, and is ten minutes from Arles and St.-Rémy-de-Provence, and less than half an hour from Avignon and Nîmes. There are two excellent restaurants within walking distance, one of them the famed Bistrot du Paradou.

Salon / Library: Cozy, with wooden bookcases, fireplace, and comfortably furnished with antiques and modern.
Atelier: Studio with desk and view of the garden.
Music Room: Huge room which runs the full length of the house and which has a wood beam ceiling about thirty feet high. Stays cool on the hottest July and August days and is wonderful for listening to music (a hi-fi with FM radio, compact disc player, and turntable are in this room, with additional speakers in the kitchen; there is a large collection of long-playing classical and jazz records).
Bathroom: Hand basin, walk-in shower, WC

2 Bedrooms: 1 with queen bed (160cm) and fireplace, one with double bed (140 cm), single bed (90 cm), and sink.
